I met with my pastor and he suggested an organization to connect with to provide women on the outside for mentorship and penpals for the women at LCDC. I have the request form and the Programs Coordinator at the jail said she would help me get this in place once I “get my ducks in a row.” There is a local ministry which provides mentors- so we are partnering with them. They will do the match up and train the mentors. I am unsure what a penpal program looks like? Is there a written “job description” to give potential volunteers? Is there any kind of handbook or presentation as I go forward to the Ignite Women and then move through the local churches? Thanks
